Wind2018 - Summary from Bodecker Partners

Another record for Vind2018. Around 850 participants gathered again in Münchenbryggeriet´s beautiful premises overlooking Södermälarstrand in Stockholm. And like last year, the atmosphere was great.

I described after last year’s conference that the somewhat dampened mood or pessimism that had kidnapped the industry for some time had been replaced by significant optimism. The wind industry had gone from a “ Depression phase - someone else’s fault “ to an “ Acceptance Phase - how do we handle this? “ A highly personal reflection after this year is that the industry has now reached an unprecedented maturity. Or as I heard someone describe it during the days; “This is a real industry now!”. Coming from being a challenger to the old conventional industry this is now a mature and established business with clear processes and professional collaborations, even on purely Commercial grounds. But creativity and innovation is not dead, it lives and flourishes, but in many cases development has to wait for politicians, laws and ordinances to catch up.
